How to get Mission Bay Beaches:
Mission Bay spans 4,600 acres. It is bordered by East Mission Bay Drive to the east (which parallels Interstate 5), Sea World Drive to the south (which intersects with Interstate 5), and Mission Boulevard to the west. To the north, Grand Avenue is the closest major street, but it is not directly adjacent to Mission Bay.
To reach Mission Bay from the north or south, take Interstate 5 to the exit for East Mission Bay Drive, Grand Avenue, Clairemont Drive, or Sea World Drive.

Camping in Falcon Group – Cleveland National Forest, CA

Falcon Group Campground Falcon Group Campground is situated at an elevation of 3,300 feet, accommodating a maximum of 30 people at Sage site for $60; 40 people maximum at Lupine site for $75; and 70 people maximum at Yarrow site for $120. The falcon trail connects to the campground and is a 1.4 mile easy walk. The Trabuco Canyon Trail is a backcountry hiking trail for a scenic 6.8 mile hike within the proximity to Falcon Campground.

Falcon Group Campground is located in the northern portion of Cleveland National Forest on the crest of a chaparral covered mountain. Scattered woodland areas provide shade from coast live oak and sycamore trees.

Falcon Group Campground is comprised of three group campsites which can accommodate 30, 40, and 70 occupants, respectively. The individual campgrounds are the Lupine, Sage, and Yarrow campgrounds.

The campsites rest at an elevation of 3,300 feet and are located on North Main Divide road, a dirt road which runs along the crest of a mountain. Always check for road conditions or closures before planning to use this road.

Camping in Ellery Creek, Shasta – Trinity National Forest, CA

Ellery Creek Campground Ellery Creek Campground is located on the upper McCloud arm of Shasta Lake, and is adjacent to the lake. Lakeside sites have excellent access to the water. Restrooms are provided. The nearest store is 21 miles away in Lake Head. There is abundant wildlife in the area.

Please respect wildlife. Where available, store food in food storage lockers, or be prepared to hang food from trees away from the bears. Poison oak is abundant throughout the forest. Reservations are available from May 15 2010 thru September 13 2010. There are no showers available or electric/water hookups for trailers. All sites at this campground can accommodate small trailers as well as tents.

There are two sets of vault toilets and water spigots (potable water) throughout camp. Each site has lockers for food, picnic tables, fire rings with grills, and tent pads.

Open for walk INS April 1st thru September 10th. Reservations start May 15th thru September 10th. Ellery Creek Campground is located on the upper McCloud arm of Shasta Lake, and is adjacent to the lake. Lakeside sites have excellent views and access and to the water. Restrooms are provided. Most visitors taking the Pine Creek Road exit are heading for the wilderness, using the trailhead at the end of the road to hike off to Honeymoon Lake, Pine Lake, Upper Pine Lake, and beyond into the high country of the John Muir Wilderness.

The irony is that there are often bigger trout in the stream right along the access road. It is stocked with trout from where Pine Creek Road first crosses the stream on upstream to where the road crosses the stream again, near the mining operation. The plants are usually made right from both bridges, with the Department of Fish and Game plunking in rainbow trout in the 10- to 12-inch class.
