Bushytail Campground is open for reservations May 15th thru October 31st and located on the road into Minersville campground, a short distance from Trinity Lake and a boat ramp. This campground has many large trees, and large campsites.
There are 12 campsites, some have electric and water hookups. 2 sites are wheelchair accessible. Group social area has tables, water, grills, and fireplaces. Maximum group size is 1-25 people. Popular lake activities include fishing, swimming, motorized and non-motorized boating, water sports, and hiking.
This campground has electric and water hookups in most sites. Site 2 actually includes 4 spurs (though only 2 electrical hookups) and is ideal for a small group, with a group eating area and fire pit.
Please note that we will no longer be accepting the Interagency National Parks Golden Age / Senior Pass or the Access Pass for the disabled in Electric, Double, Triple, and Group Sites.

Special Notes:
Reservations must be made at least 7 day in advance. 2 night minimum on weekends. 3 night minimum on holidays.
CAUTION: Bears frequent the area. All food must be kept in approve containers. 2 pay showers are available on campground. Sites will be available for first-come first-serve if not reserved.

Driving direction:
From Interstate 5 take 299 wests to Weaverville. Then take State Highway 3, north 16 miles. Turn right at Minersville/Bushytail then left into campground.
