El Prado Campground in the Laguna Recreation Area can accommodate between 30-50 people. 1 group area is accessible. Part of the El Prado Group is fenced off to protect the habitat of the Laguna Skipper Butterfly.
5 group campsites in the Laguna Recreation Area can accommodate between 30-50 people each. 1 group area is accessible. Campground consists of Big Sage, Buckwheat, Manzanita, Whitethorn, and Yerba Santa. Hiking, biking, fishing and scenic driving are available in this area. Pacific Crest Trail is nearby. Laguna Mountain Visitor Center is about 3 miles away. Part of the campground is fenced off to protect the habitat of the Laguna Skipper Butterfly. Please respect this closure.
Group camping with a large parking area provided- 40-foot maximum RV length or length of trailer + vehicle. Showers are available 1/4 mile away at Laguna Campground.

2 night minimum on weekends Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. In the summer of 2000 a fence was constructed adjacent to El Prado sites to protect the endangered Laguna Skipper butterfly. If you have reserved this site in the past, this fence may affect the way you have traditionally recreated in this site. To protect the Laguna Skipper, campers cannot enter the area behind the fence. Your cooperation is essential in order to keep these campsites open.
