Summit Lake North Campground is located at the north end and within walking distance of Summit Lake. It is centrally located on the main Park road. A major trailhead to the Park’s interior is located 1/4 mile north at the Summit Lake Ranger Station. Trails to Lassen Peak and Bumpass Hell are within 10 miles.
Summit Lake North Campground is popular for swimming. Interpretive programs are presented at the Amphitheater.

Special Notes:
Reservations must be made 4 days in advance.
Additional campsites available on a first come-first served basis with no reservation required.
There are no electricity/water or sewer hookups at this campground.
Campers must have a valid entrance or pass before camping. Entrance Fee is $10 per vehicle.
All food and scented products must be stored in the bear lockers provided at each campsite.
Pets must be on a 6′ leash at all times, must not be left unattended and are not allowed on park trails.

Driving direction:
