Tanglewood Campground is located 45 miles from San Bernardino, CA, in the San Bernardino Mountains, at an elevation of 7,542. This campground is situated in a pine forest and is on the Gold Fever Auto Tour Trail. OHV trails and the Pacific Crest Trail are nearby. Restrooms are provided, but there is no water or trash collection. The nearest showers are at Serrano Campground. Markets and restaurants are available in Big Bear.
Popular activities include boating, fishing, and swimming at Big Bear Lake. Other recreation opportunities in the area include hiking, biking, and rock climbing. Gold Fever Trail is nearby. Please check for current fire restrictions with the Discovery Center: 909- 866-3437.

There is no trash pick up so please bring garbage bags. This facility is “Pack it in. Pack it out.”

Take I-10 (Hwy 330) to Running Springs, CA, (State Hwy 18) to Big Bear Lake Dam (State Hwy 38), for 8 miles. Turn left on Van Dusen Canyon Road (3N09) go for 4 miles. Turn right on 3N16 travel for approximately 2 miles. Take a right on 3N79 and follow for a short distance (approximately 0.8 miles) to campsite.
