Tunnel Mills Campground is located in the Tahoe National Forest off of 1-80 at the Emigrant Gap exit. This remote group campground is shaded by cedar, pine and fir trees with a nearby beautiful creek. Two group sites will accommodate up to 30 people each and 6 vehicles. Site 1 will accommodate tents/RV; site 2 is tent camping only. Activities include fishing, hunting and hiking.
This facility is operated by Tahoe Recreation a division of California Land Management. Your comments are appreciated.

Special Notes:
Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
Water source – stream purify before drinking. Water available at North Fork Campground one mile before the group site.

Driving direction:
From I-80 west, take exit 158B Laing Road; I-80 east, take exit 158 Emigrant Gap Road. Turn South on Emigrant Gap Road for 7/10th of a mile. At that point, Emigrant Gap Road turns to Texas Hill Road, follow the road for approximately 7. Use caution as this is a narrow road.
