Special Notes:
The trail which connects the parking lot to both Trail Camp and the Headlands trail will be undergoing construction beginning Monday, November 29th.  The extent of the work and the impacts are still uncertain, but it is possible the trail could be closed for several weeks depending on weather conditions.  It is highly likely that the campground will be closed during the construction due to lack of water and restroom facilities.  Day use hiking access to the Cooper Cabin, Big Sur river mouth, and Headlands trail will still be available via the “Surfer’s pullout” approx 1/3 mile north of the main park entrance.  Please have alternative camping plans through December 2010 in the event of a full camping closure.
